Golding Wines is a family-owned vineyard, cellar door and garden situated near Lobethal in the Adelaide Hills. Wine flights and grazing menu daily, Friday-Sunday a choice of set menus at our Ginkgo Restaurant, wine experiences and weddings and events.
At our Western Branch Vineyard you can leave the bitumen behind you and wind up the driveway, past ancient gums to find a lush garden and landscaped terraces surrounding our family built sandstone barn. Over the years the Barn has experienced life as the farm shed, the vineyard workshop, the family home and the location for many a family celebration. Now home to our Tasting Room, our Ginkgo Restaurant and the location for many events and weddings, it remains at the very heart of all that we do here at Golding Wines.
We welcome visitors to our place seven days a week, offering wine flights, platters and cheese boards daily through our Tasting Room, and a lunch menu from Friday to Sunday through our Ginkgo Restaurant. Our Head Chef, De Buys Nortier, has crafted our Ginkgo menu to embrace the season’s finest produce, with a strong focus on locally sourced ingredients, some straight from our own kitchen garden.
Whether you are visiting us for a wine tasting, a delicious Sunday lunch or an immersive vineyard experience we welcome you to experience the very best of the Adelaide Hills at our place.
Loved the wine tasting experience here. The platter was fabulous. The service excellent. And it's so beautiful here. Really beautiful. Would recommend. Good prices.
The mushrooms and egg is very nice. It will be even better if the food can be service quick. It took around 3 hours for the 3 courses. We were there on a Saturday for a lunch. However the environment is nice and warm. Therefore it is a good place if you want to spend an afternoon there.
Fabulous place, really great staff, fantastic food and wine. Always a memorable experience. Thank you x
had a really nice birthday lunch here on a Saturday! all the staff were really friendly (especially our waitress Ally)!! beautiful scenery and great ambiance with the outdoor fire pits and wood oven ????
Today I attended Golding Wines as part of my daughter’s hens day where we had the wine safari. The setting was fabulous we had a wonderful host Jack who was just delightful. He was very knowledgeable about vines and where they are positioned for the wine types of wine. He also was able to answer any question asked of him . The taste boxes were lovely. Despite not being a drinker I felt very included and learnt a lot about wines today Jack also made sure that he knew who the dedicated drivers were and offered them coffee which was appreciated . Congratulations to all involved and would definitely recommend to others
